The GHAA Hunter Education Course has been developed to provide all members with a solid foundation in what it means to be part of an ethical hunting club.
Through a series of practical, easy-to-follow lessons, you’ll gain the knowledge and confidence to represent GHAA and the broader hunting community safely and responsibly.

- GHAA’s history, purpose, and Code of Conduct
- Safe firearm handling and the Four Pillars of Safety
- Understanding landholders, properties, and biosecurity
- Ethical hunting, shot placement, and humane recovery
- Bush safety, navigation, and communication equipment
- Preparing for hunts and booking club properties
Before any member is permitted to hunt or shoot on GHAA club properties, completion of the Hunter Education Course is required.

The GHAA Hunter Education Course is delivered entirely online through our portal, so you can complete it anytime, anywhere.
Progress through each module at your own pace, revisit topics as needed, and complete a short assessment to confirm your understanding.
Once finished, you’ll receive a Certificate of Completion, confirming you are approved to hunt on GHAA properties.
